CSI's Eva La Rue is an on-screen star at breaking cases and looking good while doing it. As DNA Specialist Natalia Boa Vista, Eva is always on point to stay on top of her fitness profiling.
On this month's issue of Pilates Style, the star had bigger cases to break when she gained 37 pounds during her pregnancy 8 years ago.
"I certainly wouldn't have worked as hard as I did to lose the weight if I didn't have a TV show to get back to," La Rue told Pilates Style. "That was my motivation."
How did she get there? Quite obviously, Pilates.
The interviewing magazine detailed the stars ins and outs of "the method" and how La Rue used Pilates to "keep it together."
A fan of the mat, Eva has been practicing Pilates since 1997. With such a steep commitment, it's easy to see that it works for her. Transformers star Megan Fox also reportedly turns to Pilates and boasted that her mat workouts resulted in a 22-inch waist.
While the results weren't as drastic for La Rue, she finds the workout "makes sense" to her and also practices yoga in addition to her two weekly Pilates mat classes. When she can't make it to class, Eva's go-to DVD's are anything Mari Winsor.
Her favorite moves are The Hundred, the double and single-leg stretch and anything with the Magic Circle or resistance bands.
Beyond the mat, La Rue says Pilates helps her reduce stress from life on screen and is something she believes in for overall physical and mental well-being.
